In our contemplation and formulation of Mystra we sought to arrive at an olfactory interpretation of this ancient Greek, mountain-top city.
Mystra is an Eau de Toilette, and is $140AUD for 100 ml (about $109USD). The label lists fragrance notes of labdanum, frankincense and mastic. (via Aesop's website)

Mastic? Isn't that a kind of glue?
It is a plant resin, but for all I know it is used to make glue also!

Don't know about glue…but mastic is used in Turkish cooking…everything from sweets to liqueurs to savory dishes. I had to find it for a chicken dish last Christmas…very fragrant. K
I discovered my love of Mastix last year in Greek. Any kiosk sells Mastix chewing gum there… A kind of 'orthodox-ecclesiastical' taste, weird and wonderful. I want to try this! I love resins. The shrub – cistus – Labdanum is collected from grow everywhere in Greece. So this scent might in the ideal case recollect all my holiday memories there…
