Burberry London for women ~ new fragrance

Burberry London perfume for womenBurberry will release Burberry London, a new fragrance for women, in February with an ad campaign featuring actress Rachel Weisz:

The fragrance itself was created by Dominique Ropion of IFF. The elegant and sophisticated floral jus features top notes of rose, clementine and honeysuckle. Heart notes comprise tiaré flower, peony and jasmine with base notes of sandalwood, musk and patchouli.

Burberry London for women is available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum; the bottle is covered in fabric in the Burberry plaid pattern. Look for the men's Burberry London fragrance in the fall. (via cosmeticsinternational)

Stella by Stella McCartney, perfume advert

Stella McCartney released her first fragrance, called simply Stella, in 2003:

I wanted to capture the fragility of the high summer rose when the petals are just about to fall off. It’s not about skipping around the country in a frilly skirt on a summer day.

Stella was created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier, and the notes are rose essence, peony, mandarin, rose absolute and amber. The fragrance starts out with dewy florals and crisp citrus; the end-of-summer fragility McCartney was looking for doesn’t become apparent until the dry down, when the florals are joined by a woody-musky amber…

New fragrances from Armani & Diesel

Giorgio Armani will launch Armani Code for women in April:

Armani Code for women, created by Carlos Benaim of IFF, features orange blossom as its main ingredient and includes notes of jasmine and vanilla. (via cosmeticnews)

Diesel, the Italian jeans line, has signed a fragrance licensing deal with L'Oreal. The first fragrance is scheduled to appear in early 2007. (via cosmeticsinternational) No word on what will become of the existing Diesel fragrances, but I am still seeing them regularly at TJ Maxx.

New fragrance from Parfums de Nicolai, a few perfume shopping deals at Lusciouscargo

Thanks to Patricia for spotting this new fragrance release from Parfums de Nicolaï: Cococabana, with coconut, bitter oranges, ylang-ylang, tuberose, cedar wood and palm. I am not usually fond of coconut perfumes, but I love this line so will have to try it. Available directly from Parfums de Nicolaï, and presumably it will eventually make its way to the States…
