Sadly, this smelled like cheap furniture polish – the original is much nicer IMHO.

Oh, what a shame! Was sort of surprised by this release…I think of the original as a summer scent anyway.

I think I will sample this one the next time I visit L'Occitane.

I like the original, but it has geranium or something in the drydown which I find mildly disagreeable. The notes in this one sound appealing to me (I tend to enjoy fragrances that others describe as “furniture polish”).

I also thought this was a weird summer release for them.

I will undoubtedly try it too, and furniture polish doesn't much bother me either, but if it is a lighter version of the regular, I doubt I'll see the point.

This was wonderful! It took 4 months of waiting for it to come back in season after trying it at a local store for me to get some of my own. It's citrus with a touch of something warmer…spicier. I'm on my second bottle. I do have the original Verbena and it's much more of a simple citrus note. I wish they had the Summer version in more than just the fragrance spray. I'd love to have it in the body products also.
