La Perla Grigioperla Attitude for men & Philosophy The Fragrance: new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 22 July 2006 6 Comments

La Perla Grigioperla Attitude fragrance for menGrigioperla, the men's underwear line from high end Italian lingerie house La Perla, has launched Attitude for men, a new fragrance developed by perfumers Sophie Labbe and Anne-Sophie Chapuis. The fragrance features fresh notes, cardamom, lavender, violet, cedar and musk. (via cosmoty.de) It is available now at strawberrynet, and can be pre-ordered from escentual in the UK.

Philosophy has launched Philosophy The Fragrance, a unisex scent. To my knowledge they have not released the notes, so you'll have to go on the following clues: "warm, happy, energized", "instant mood enhancer" and "light, clean fragrance". It is available now at philosophy. Update: the notes for Philosophy The Fragrance include floral notes, leafy greens, lemon, ginger, jasmine, blue hyacinth, amber, sandalwood and white musk.

As for the Philosophy fragrance, I ordered this based on how it smelled on a scent-strip. It is a creamy, lemony scent, similar to Fresh Sugar or La Perla Eclix. I wouldn't say it is completely unisex, as it is somewhat sweet, rather than clean. I wore it yesterday layered with Ava Luxe Coconut perfume oil. The mixture was pina-colada-ish, but in a good way. 🙂

Love Eclix, but the Fresh Sugar not so much…thanks for the description, and I will have to look for the Philosophy when it gets to Sephora!

I cannot take my eyes off that photo. Oh, I would love to bury my face in his neck and smell the Grigioperla on him! Maybe he'd let me take a gander at his high-end Italian underwear–

Philosophy the fragrance: I have also smelled this and I like it, I can see where it could be interpreted as a unisex scent. It is really lemony and sweet when you first put in on but as it dries down I can smell a lot of green tones and possibly a tea-like layer. Maybe that's just me!

Thanks for commenting — I tried it on a card but not on skin, and will have to give it another try as I like green & tea and all those things 🙂
