May I just say I hate roll-ons and then without further cranky ado, say have a good weekend? ;D. Oops, one more tiny ado—roll-ons are nasty. They make contamination of the fragrance unavoidable. There. NOW you can have a good weekend.

May I please add to the crankiness before I wish you a good holiday? So, it's settled, as long as you add “… and entrepreneur” after your title, you are fully accredited to become a perfumer. Like:

Dog Groomer and Entrepreneur, Perfumer. Or: Sanitation Specialist and Entrepreneur, Perfumer. I mean, that's really all it takes, right? I just need a little clarity around the qualifications. But, please, do have a good weekend, R. Get rest. xoxo

Help me with my arithmetic. Luckyscent sells 1/32 oz. of the Note frags for $4. They sell 4/32 for $45.

    Right?

Why would I buy a 1/8 ounce bottle, like, ever?

I need some help! Single guy, 36…close work area with women and other guys…not much into the club scene anymore…very conservative career.

I've outgrown my college colognes and I need some advice on what to get. I know what I like, but there's so much out there!

I don't like fresh, watery, or fruity…CKone, Cool Water, Candies or Happy.

I'm looking from something powdery, musky, floral, and a nice spicy finish. I worked with a bunch of Indian guys in the UK last year and they always smelled rich and deeply spicy with hints of orange and musk.

I'm wearing Obession Night right now. It's OK. I'm finding most of the stuff I'm buying these days to be very weak rip-offs of CK scents or too strange to wear in public (Davidoff's Good Life!).

Something French and classic? Italian? I used to wear Soprani Unomo…great stuff though a little too casual for work.

Anway, any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Dom

Sorry…should have asked earlier: is there a website where I can submit my fragrance preferences and receive some suggestions for testers? Thanks…

Hi Dom! Try the Perfume Emporium website – they have message boards for both men and women and I know you could get lots of suggestions there. And I'm so glad to hear you say that you'd like to smell rich and spicy – I am really tired of all the “fresh” fragrances out there. You might enjoy Blv by Bvlgari, Casran by Chopard, or Jungle by Kenzo…they're all sexy and spicy. Have fun!

    Chic,

    Thanks for the lead…

Do you (or anyone else!) have opinions on: Bvlgari Notte, Vera Wang, Cristobal, Hermes Orange & Vetiver, and Joop Nightlife?

    Thanks! Dom

L, Have to agree, but I always just remove the little roll-on mechanism myself. I suppose I contaminate the fragrance anyway, but there is something worse about rolling it on than dabbing it on. And hope you are having a good weekend yourself!

LOL — when we get a perfume from a sanitation specialist, it will be time to quite blogging 😉

I wish I was resting, but I am painting bedrooms instead. Hope you are doing something more amusing this weekend!

And you as well, despite all the general crankiness around here 🙂

Email them and ask — perhaps they don't fill the samples on these? I thought that with some oils they didn't (?)

Highly recommend you check out the men's fragrance board at basenotes…they will be sure to have good suggestions for you based on your likes & dislikes.
