Posted by Robin on 4 May 2006 9 Comments

Alamut perfume by Lorenzo Villoresi

Lorenzo Villoresi will launch Alamut, his latest perfume for women, in early June; expect to see it in the US by July. The fragrance is described as the "rich, opulent and velvety flowers of a Thousand and One Nights, dreams of secret gardens in the moonlight of the fresh Oriental nights".

The top notes include osmanthus, rose, jasmin, rosewood and exotic flowers; the heart has narcissus, tuberose, ylang ylang, orange blossoms, labdanum and amber notes; and the base is composed of amber, musk, amyris, sandalwood, patchouli, benzoin, leather and powdery notes.

The packaging will be ruby-red, and the fragrance will be available in Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, Perfume, Perfume in Oil plus bath & body products (Body Milk, Bath & Shower gel and Body Cream).

How exciting, can't wait to try it! It will probably be too heavy for me, but you never know.

I can't wait to try this! I've been hoping for another fragrance with floral notes from LV.

M, I was thinking it was something you would love & I would hate (ambery powdery etc), but we shall see!

It is one of those lines where I want to try everything they do, even if (as in this case) it doesn't sound like it will suit me…

R, Alamut´s description sounds a bit too overwhelming for my liking, but you never know… In any case I´m very curious about it.

LV fragrances are always something special, I think, even if I don´t like all of them.

It sounds dynamic and intoxicating! Sure, I'll be in line to try it when it launches. Another Lorenzo Villoresi–yes, very cool.

It has been a long time since he has released a new scent, hasn't it? Glad to see a new one this year.

Hey there! Those wanting to try this perfume, Aidan Gill shop for men in New Orleans carries this scent. I smelled it and it was very light, almost powdery. It seemed like a deeper version of my favorite Villoresi, Dilmun.

Aidan gill shop can be reached at 504-587-9090. or at http://www.aidangillformen.com.

    Happy sniffing!
