Fragonard Cerisier en Fleurs ~ fragrance review

Posted by Robin on 2 June 2005 19 Comments

Fragonard Cerisier en Fleurs fragrance line

Cerisier en Fleurs is one of the latest releases from “The Naturals” line of fragrances from Fragonard. The Naturals are very reasonably priced in France at €18 for a 100 ml bottle, but shipping to the United States basically doubles the price. When Fragonard recently ran a €10 shipping special, I disregarded (again!) my own never-buy-unsniffed rule to split a bottle of Cerisier en Fleurs with a friend.

The notes for Cerisier en Fleurs are cherry blossom, cherry, orange blossom, iris, and musk. It starts out as a sparkling blend of cherry and white flowers with a touch of light citrus. Monyette Paris: Another perfume oil, this one with gardenia, lily of the valley and nag champa incense. This is creamier and sweeter than Kai, and when worn right next to each other, the Monyette smells very much like vanilla sugar with a hint of incense and a dollop of suntan oil. Very beachy and tropical. I prefer Kai, but if Kai is too green for you, Monyette may be what you are looking for.

Creative Scentualization Perfect Gardenia: A very sweet gardenia with a touch of vanilla and musk. None of Kai’s greenery, none of Monyette’s nag champa, just a basic, sweet gardenia. Too plain for my taste, but might be nice for layering…
