Perfume Review: Lily Prune Sublime Vanilla
Lily Prune is a low cost line produced by Paris-based perfume house Ulric de Varens and marketed towards the below-20 set (as you might have guessed from the packaging). Lily Prune Sublime Vanilla was created by nose Jean Claude Ellena, and released in 2001; the notes are orange, cherry, plum, vanilla, amber, and sandalwood.

Perfume reading: on the oudh trade
There is an interesting article in Gulf News (link no longer working, sorry!) about the worldwide oudh trade. As with sandalwood, oudh trees have been overharvested in the wild and are now threatened with extinction in parts of the world.

Live Jennifer Lopez, concocted by Lopez in cooperation with Dominique Ropion of International Flavors and Fragrances, is an upbeat fruity floral. Top notes are of sparkling Sicilian lemon, vivacious Italian orange and juicy pineapple; a heart of fruity redcurrant, heady peony and piquant violet, and a drydown of caramel, tonka beans, vanilla and sandalwood.
