Perfume of the day: L’Artisan Ananas Fizz

Posted by Robin on 10 August 2005 28 Comments

L'Artisan Ananas Fizz fragrance

Every year, L’Artisan Parfumeur releases a limited edition summer fragrance. Last year, it was Ananas Fizz, which has notes of pink grapefruit, bitter orange, lemon rind, rum, rose, Reunion Islands Victoria pineapple, coconut milk, lychee sap, cedar, vetiver, and vanilla. The perfumer for Ananas Fizz was Anne Flipo.

I should start by saying that as a rule, I am very fond of the summer L’Artisans. First, the bottles usually score high on the cute factor (I do like the regular L’Artisan bottles, but I have plenty of them and it is nice to see something new). Perfume reading: on Guerlain, home fragrance & Tag by Gillette

Posted by Robin on 10 August 2005 9 Comments

Thank you to Victoria for this link to an article about Guerlain in last weekend's Times Online.

There is a funny article in Salon today about the high cost of home fragrance products, such as the Alora Ambience diffuser.

Tag, by Gillette, is apparently poised to challenge Axe as the leading men's body spray. Find out why Gillette doesn't put their company name (sorry, link now expired) on the product.

french friesWe had a wonderful beach vacation and as expected, I ate quite a few french fries. Also salt water taffy, crepes, and ice cream. I managed to stick to my usual beach-week weight gain of 5 pounds, although that is just a guess as I have no intention of stepping on the scale today.

I did not wear any perfume at all, and despite the heat most everyone on the boardwalk appeared to be wearing Angel or something very like it.

Will be catching up on emails and laundry today, and will be back tomorrow with a real perfume review.
