Sarah Jessica Parker, star of Sex and the City, is expected to debut her first fragrance this fall under the Lancaster Group, a division of Coty, Inc. Only information available on the scent so far is that it will be "fresh".
Word is that Kate Moss is also planning to start her own fragrance line.

Coming soon from Annick Goutal: Mandragore, a unisex fragrance based on the mandrake plant. The perfume will also feature notes of black pepper, spearmint, star anise, and sage leaf.

This spring, Guerlain will release 2 new fragrances in the Aqua Allegoria line, Orange Magnifica and Pivoine Magnifica. And in March, Guerlain will release a new Eau de Toilette version of L'Instant:
The EdT targets both existing users of the scent, and younger women looking for a fresher fragrance. Described as a crystalline floral juice, L’Instant de Guerlain edt is a fusion of citrus, apple, floral lace and soft amber. The key notes include bergamot, grapefruit, blackcurrant, magnolia and Sambac jasmine.

Caron has discontinued Violette Prècieuse. It is still widely available at the online perfume discounters, so buy while you can. Update: it is back, albeit in a new formulation.
