Lubin Idole?
Some time ago I spotted a picture of this perfume on a French site that specializes in perfume advertisements and images. It is said to be an old scent by Lubin that has been re-formulated by Olivia Giacobetti. Has anyone heard about it? I have been unable to find out anything about where or when it will be released. And I am saying *nothing* about the bottle design.
Update: see a review of Lubin Idole.
Coming soon from Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier: Bahiana
Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier's latest fragrance, Bahiana, is due to be released this month, and will feature notes of orange, citron, mandarin, marigold, green leaves, rosewood, gaiac wood, elemi, coconut, amber, and musk. (Notes are via this wonderful French page on new perfume releases). I believe someone on the Basenotes forum has already posted a review, but as Basenotes is currently down for database repairs, I cannot locate the link.
Update: see a review of Bahiana.
Back to orange blossom fragrances…

Continuing with the orange blossom perfume discussion that started with Santa Maria Novella Acqua di Colonia on Sunday (with apologies for the brief interruption caused by Barbara Bui), here is a round-up of some other orange blossom scents I have tried. I started to include Serge Lutens Fleurs d’Oranger, which had several mentions in the comments to Monday’s orange blossom post, but in the end I left it out. It is a much more complex perfume than the others listed here, and refused to be summed up in a few easy sentences. I will give it more space on another day.
Côté Bastide Fleurs d’Oranger: This is a basic but pretty orange blossom, with just a touch of green and possibly some light citrus notes…
