Barneys to expand

Good news for perfume lovers: Barneys, which currently operates 3 flagship stores in NYC, Chicago, and Los Angeles, plans to open as many as 3 more flagships by 2008, starting with a store in Boston by March 2006. There will also be a new Barneys Co-op in Chevy Chase, MD this fall. (via Women's Wear Daily)

L'Artisan Extrait de Songe / L'Ete en Douce fragrance

Today I am testing the L’Artisan summer limited edition fragrance for 2005, Extrait de Songe (later renamed L’Ete en Douce, see below). The scent was created by nose Olivia Giacobetti, and features mint, rose, orange blossom, linden, hay, woods, and white musk.

New perfumes from Ormonde Jayne & Paris Hilton

From Ormonde Jayne, a new men's fragrance, Isfahan, with notes of pink pepper, lime oil, bergamot, jasmine, moss, and cedar. It should be on the Ormonde Jayne website within the next week, orders will ship when the fragrance officially launches on May 27. (Update: Isfahan has been now been renamed Isfarkand, and you can see a review here.)

The Paris Hilton fragrances will launch in Europe tomorrow in Sephora stores, in the UK on May 16 at Debenhams. A new fragrance from GUESS will launch in July. (via prnewswire)
