Chinatown in Swarovski

As promised, here is the picture of "Chinatown, Crystallized", a limited edition bottle of the Chinatown fragrance from Bond no. 9 with the plum blossom design studded with Swarovski crystals. It will be available in early December; the price will be $380 for 100 ml.

This special store-wide event will take place September 20, from 7:30 - 10:00 pm. The beauty floor will offer free gifts with purchases from fragrances, cosmetics and skincare. An advance ticket purchase costs $100, fully redeemable in merchandise, and includes complimentary drinks and food. Saks charge customers will receive double points through September 25. New & upcoming perfumes: Givenchy, Hermes & L'Artisan

As previously reported, Givenchy is gearing up to launch a Harvest Collection, starting with a new version of Amarige this December. It will feature “the ‘green sensation’ of the 2005 mimosa harvest in its top notes along with tender orange blossom notes”, with the mimosa from Grasse making up 25% of the juice…

I have been giving a lot of thought recently to the rising cost of keeping myself in perfume. Truth be told, I don’t really spend all that much. Much of my collection is made up of decants, and I think very hard before I buy a whole bottle of something new. I spend so much time testing new perfumes that I don’t even wear my “regulars” as frequently as I would like, so why bother with more bottles that will just spoil before I manage to use them…
