New corporate fragrance for Samsung & other perfume news

Posted by Robin on 4 October 2005 10 Comments

Samsung Electronics has developed a signature corporate fragrance called Intimate Blue, a "fresh, fruity aroma" designed to "evoke Samsung's cobalt blue logo". It is not for sale, but you can smell it in the Samsung Experience store in NYC. (via Time Magazine, 10/10/2005)

British pop star Sir Cliff Richard has released his second perfume. The first, called Miss You Nights, was "a warm floral-oriental scent containing rose, jasmine and ylang ylang, combined with the woody scent of sandalwood". His latest is Dream Maker, with citrus, peach, rose, geranium, magnolia, heliotrope, amber and ginger. Both scents are available from Starscents. (via the Official Sir Cliff Richard Website)

Fans of Serge Lutens Rahat Loukoum or Keiko Mecheri Loukhoum might be interested in this article in The Age on the Middle Eastern dessert known as Rahat Lokum in Turkey, and Turkish Delight in the United States. A recipe is included.

Wow everyone is getting into the fragrance business even though they aren't selling this.

Creating a corporate signature in fragrance seems to be the next big thing…I know several boutiques now pipe in a signature fragrance, and the nose Michel Roudnitska has done some work in this area.

If I had the time, I would try making that Turkish Delight. It sounds really good and mouthwatering.

    Hugs!

LOL! Just call me Susie Homemaker. :):)

Probably will never attempt the TD, but I CAN send you cookies for Christmas. They are pretty darn good, if I must say so myself. 🙂

R, they have to be better than anything I can produce. I haven't baked anything since I made cupcakes for my son's birthday 2 years ago. *hangs head in shame*
