More details on the renovated Guerlain flagship boutique (see March 12 & May 25), the interior of which is shown to the right:
Le Mouchoir de Monsieur and La Voilette de Madame, the first reissues, will be packaged in numbered, limited edition bottles, and will retail for $979. Cuir Beluga, Rose Barbare and Angelique Noir will be $171 for 100 ml of Eau de Parfum. Plus Que Jamais Guerlain will be $318 for 60 ml of Eau de Parfum, and "includes notes of Calabrian bergamot, Tunisian neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmine, iris and Bourbon vanilla."
Paco Rabanne will launch Black XS for men this summer:
Black XS' juice, a fresh sensual woody, was concocted by Firmenich's Olivier Cresp. It features top notes of Calabrian lemon, kalamanzi, tagete and sage; heart notes of cinnamon, tolu balm, black cardamom and praline, and base notes of palissandre wood, black amber, patchouli and ebony wood.

Ok, I must say that if LVMH wants more clients, they should adjust their prices slightly, or make these fragrances available in a smaller bottles (specifically, three new editions, such as Cuir Beluga, etc.) I doubt I will be purchasing LE bottles anytime soon. They make JAR seem like a bargain in comparison.
V, I was surprised by the prices. I didn't expect any of it to be cheap, but the prices for the new ones is sort of shocking. And $385 for the Plus Que Jamais Guerlain? Now I'm wondering if all the older scents from Jacques Guerlains will also be only in these special, numbered bottles for $900+. Sigh.
Completely ridiculous, no? I would understand that Guerlain would like to retain exclusive cache, but this is rather extreme. Rather disheartening, I would say.
Pure pretentiousness. If that's what they're going to charge for Sous Le Vent, Vega, Liu and all the rest, forget it. It looks like they're just going to go for the Mona Ayoub demographic, which I'm not a part of, anyway.
I will have to forget all these too, if that is going to be the case. The new ones at $171 — agree with Victoria's comment above, a 50 ml at less than $100 would have been easier to take.
How much? (Coughing and clutching chest, unable to speak..) Perhaps we could form a syndicate, and each get 5ml? They'll be lucky to sell a dozen bottles at that rate. Of course – that's the dollar rate. Perhaps it will work out cheaper in GBP (she says with selfish hope). N
N, Wish I was buying with pounds instead of dollars too! Guessing that you will also have an easier time getting your hands on these than I will 😉
And the Cacharel? Surely we must be exhausting the pit of fruity horror? Honestly! But you know, the notes of that Paco Rabanne sound really me…I wonder how masculine it will be? And I bet they won't charge $300 a bottle. 🙁 N
The Promesse, at least, they are gearing towards an older market. Perhaps it won't be so sweet?

I am so disgusted, I can't comment on those other outrageous prices!
Okay, I will say one more thing. I totally agree with Victoria: Why not offer the trio in 50 ml bottles for $85.-$95./bottle. But of course LVMH is so greedy, they just don't get it, do they?

I am very bummed too. I was really looking forward to all these new things, and it looks like for the most part they will be out of my reach. It is a shame, especially with these historical fragrances that should celebrate the heritage of this great house…they shouldn't be cheap, but they should be packaged in such a way that you don't have to be super wealthy to afford them.
Too bad about the Guerlains. No way would I spend that much money on something – especially something I can't sniff beforehand.
Bummer about the new Cacharel scent coming out. I am soooo sick and tired of fruity florals. Cacharel already HAS a fruity floral on the market with Amor Amor. Wish this scent trend would go away.
Promesse is supposed to be aimed at an older market than Amor Amor. Fruity floral is not my favorite group either though.
