A few more perfumes to wait for

Posted by Robin on 9 February 2005 Leave a Comment

Coming soon from Annick Goutal: Mandragore, a unisex fragrance based on the mandrake plant. The perfume will also feature notes of black pepper, spearmint, star anise, and sage leaf.

And I am waiting impatiently for Un Jardin Sur Le Nil, the upcoming perfume from Hermès. Jean Claude Ellena reportedly came up with the idea for the scent while walking through a mango grove in Egypt:

...the result was a fruity, green, woody juice with notes of green mango, lotus flower, aromatic rushes, incense and sycamore wood. "If Un Jardin en Mediterranee is ice cream, Un Jardin Sur Le Nil is sorbet," said Ellena.

This should be available in Hermès boutiques later this month or early in March.

According to an interview in beautynewsnyc.com, Bond No. 9 has big plans for the year. In April, look for Chinatown, "an edible floral scent", to be followed by Hampton, Bleecker Street, West Village, and West Side Stories. Better start saving those pennies.
